Shannon’s Story

Shannon Clanton had laparoscopic sleeve surgery on May 5th, 2023, after three years of deliberation.

“I was feeling scared, and so unhealthy, yet I knew I had to do this,” Shannon said, on how she reached eventually the conclusion to pursue surgery

Shannon was 289lbs, had sleep apnea, pre-diabetes, and took 5 different medications for various health conditions.

“I remember feeling out of breath when walking down my driveway. Waking up each morning it would take several minutes to get out of bed. Sore body, sore feet, always uncomfortable, Low self-esteem, and depression.” Shannon stated as some of her worst symptoms before surgery.

While the decision to seek out weight-control surgery wasn’t an easy one,  Shannon couldn’t be happier with her results.

“I feel that this surgery saved my life! I lost 70lbs total in 1 year. I am currently off all medications, and no more sleep apnea. I am a new person!
